Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and East Rajasthan. Weather remained dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Bahadurgarh 1, Himachal Pradesh: Sundernagar 7 and Shimla 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 2 and Banihal 1.

Temperature (past 24 hours change): Maximum temperature rose in Uttar Pradesh, fell appreciably in Haryana, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in Haryana, appreciably below normal in Punjab, West Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.4°C at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast (valid until the morning of May 29): Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Dust storm, thunderstorms are likely in Rajasthan.
