Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan, below normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.7°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 8: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in south Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 8: Mainly clear sky. Maximum temperature will be around 38°C.
