Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places
in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell markedly in Haryana, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh, fell appreciably in Uttaranchal, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh. Highest temperature in the region was 40.4°C recorded at Kota.

Forecast valid until the morning of May 3: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
