Admission norms for poor students notified to schools

The Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, has sent notices to schools, listing the procedures for admitting students from the weaker section, following the orders of the apex court which restrained public schools from hiking fees and “commercialising education”.

Wheat worth crores damaged
Sonepat: Torrential rain throughout last night has caused extensive damage to thousands of wheat bags worth several crores of rupees in the district. The bags were procured by various official procurement agencies and lying in the grain markets in the open.

Four inter-state drug pushers held
New Delhi, April 30
With the arrest of four inter-state gang of arms and narcotics suppliers, the Delhi Police Narcotics Branch claimed to have seized 10 weapons, seven magazines, five live cartridges and 760 grams of heroin from their possession.

Chautala working for his ministry’s dismissal: BJP

The general secretary of the Haryana unit of the BJP, Mr Veer Kumar Yadav, has accused the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief and the Chief Minister, Mr Om Prakash Chautala, of forcing the central government to dismiss his ministry in order to get sympathy votes from the electorate during the Lok Sabha elections.

Starting May 23, the effort that aims to save the Yamuna from further devastation and degradation is being undertaken by ‘We for Yamuna’, an initiative of Swechha-We for Change Foundation and Development Alliance Private Limited.
