A girl student, who was pursuing management studies in a Muradnagar Institute and who had gone missing on April 26, was today found to have been murdered.

Youth gets life term for killing woman
New Delhi, April 29
After two years a city court today sentenced a youth to life imprisonment for murdering a woman in the Mohan Nagar area of South West Delhi in 2002. The accused, Vijay (21), had killed the woman, Shashi Sharma, following a dispute with the victim’s son, Gaurav Sharma, on who would fetch the water first.

Naturopathy expert claims medicines not needed for treating cancer

“The deadly disease of cancer could be treated without the use of medicines and the modern methods usually adopted in the hospitals and specialists.” This was claimed by Dr P. N. Dubey, well-known expert of Naturopathy, Accupressure and Alternative system of medicine, while delivering his lecture at a seminar of health focussing on the treatment of Cancer’ organised by the Manav Sewa Samiti, a registered voluntary body here yesterday.

Modern School move into Turf Cup final
New Delhi, April 29
A dashing knock of 69, studded with eight boundaries, by Mohit Malhotra, an all-round display by Manan Sharma (54, 4 for 34) and deadly bowling by Luv Shorey (4 for 16) helped Modern School, Barakhamba Road defeat Motilal Nehru Sports School, Rai, by 113 runs and entered the final of the second S.G. Turf Youth Cup Under-15 Cricket Tournament at the Modern School ground.
