Naturopathy expert claims medicines not needed for treating cancer

“The deadly disease of cancer could be treated without the use of medicines and the modern methods usually adopted in the hospitals and specialists.” This was claimed by Dr P. N. Dubey, well-known expert of Naturopathy, Accupressure and Alternative system of medicine, while delivering his lecture at a seminar of health focussing on the treatment of Cancer’ organised by the Manav Sewa Samiti, a registered voluntary body here yesterday.

Dr Dubey, who has done his research in the Alternative system of medicines and treatment and practising Naturopathy and Accupressure, for past over ten years has claimed that he could treat any cancer patient without use of any medicine or the radiation given to such patients. Claiming that dozens of persons suffering from this disease had either recovered substantially or had been recovering without pain and wastage of funds in the recent past.

Stating that he had launched a society to fight this disease, he said his one point program was to eradicate this disease completely in the coming years. He said he had a very simple method to treat the patients and he had been prescribing them to consume juice of 2 kgs of carrot, a similar quantity of buttermilk and some wheat grass in their daily diet and claimed that a person suffering from such ailments could recover almost 40 to 50 percent in just in four weeks.

Regular use of these items could ensure that the disease was eliminated completely if it was in the initial or middle stage, he added. He said simultaneous use of ‘Punarnava’, a herb easily available was also helpful for such patients. Mr K. P. Narayanan, Chief of a Health body, asked the people to give up use of tobacco, pan masala, gutkha and Zarda, if they wanted to lead a healthy life.

He said use of such products only promoted many kind of diseases including cancer. A senior eye surgeon of a leading hospital here said that there was a need to create awareness among the people, especially at the school level, so that addiction to harmful products could be prevented.

The members of the samiti said that they would not only launch a campaign against the use of harmful products but also try to provide free consultation and treatment to the affected persons.

Mr O. P. Sharma, Mr Suresh Kaushik, Mr Subhkaran Sabu, the president of the Samiti, Mr Arun Bajaj, secretary, Mr Kailash Sharma, Mr H. S. Rathi, Pravin Garg, Satish Mittal, Vinod Aggarwal, P. D. Gupta, Neeta Aggarwal and Mr J. N. Gehlot, Secretary of the District Red Society were among others who were present.

Modern School move into Turf Cup final

A dashing knock of 69, studded with eight boundaries, by Mohit Malhotra, an all-round display by Manan Sharma (54, 4 for 34) and deadly bowling by Luv Shorey (4 for 16) helped Modern School, Barakhamba Road defeat Motilal Nehru Sports School, Rai, by 113 runs and entered the final of the second S.G. Turf Youth Cup Under-15 Cricket Tournament at the Modern School ground.

Manan was declared the man of the match and Mohit Malhotra got the best batsman award. Luv Shorey was named the best bowler.

Scores: Modern School: 229 all out in 49.3 overs (Mohit Malhotra 69, Manan Sharma 54, Anil Sihag 4 for 31, Sachin Gahlot 3 for 37).

Moti Lal Nehru: 116 all out in 36.3 overs (Sachin Gahlot 34, Yashdeep Dahiya 32, Luv Shorey 4 for 16, Manan Sharma 4 for 34).

Balaji bowls FAPS to victory

A fiery spell of 4 for 2 by N S Balaji and equally good spell by Bharat Arora (3 for 9) helped Frank Anthony Public School (FAPS) defeat South Delhi Colts by one wicket in the Junior Master Cup Under-10 Cricket Tournament at the Frank Anthony School ground.

Scores: South Delhi Colts: 120 all out in 28.3 overs (Dushant Lot 34, Partham Gera 33, N S Balaji 4 for 2, Rohan Saijwal 2 for 27, Bharat Arora 3 for 9). FAPS: 121 for 9 in 29.3 overs (Sagar Sudan 31, Ashrey Tikku 30, Chetanya Sushil 3 for 15, Anuj Kumar 2 for 15, Dushyant Lot 2 for

Shastri Club enter semis

Lal Bahadur Shastri Club defeated South Delhi Colts by seven wickets and entered the semi-final of the Davinder Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament for the Tara Devi Trophy.

Bharat National enter final

Bharat National Cricket Academy defeated Ravindra School by 98 runs and entered the final of the Little Masters Cricket Tournament.

Scores: Bharat National Academy: 247 for 7 in 35 overs (Gaurav Bhatia 68, Abhishek Kapoor 62, Akshay Sharma 43, Saurabh Singh 2 for 33).

Ravindra School: 149 all out in 32 overs (Cahnder Thapa 33, Shubham Gupta 33, Karandeep 3 for 16, Robin Singh 2 for 35).

Hansraj School win

Hansraj School, Punjabi Bagh defeated G D Goyanka School by three runs to enter the semi-final of the Achrekar Under-15 Cricket Tournament at the Paschim Vihar complex. GHPS emerge hockey champions

Guru Harkrishan Public School (GHPS), India Gate lifted the second All-India Sahibzada Ajit Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament Trophy defeating Khalsa School, Jalandhar. GHPS received a cash prize of Rs 60,000. Shakti Singh and Kulbhushan Sharma of GHPS were adjudged the best goalkeeper and best full back, respectively. Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul gave away the prizes. President of the Delhi State Gurdwara Management Committee Prehlad Singh Chandok and chairman of the Delhi Sikh Education Council S Vikramjit Singh Sahney were also present.

Mithun Manhas stars in ONGC’s victory

An all-round display by Mithun Manhas (3 for 33 and 64 n.o, 3x6, 6x4, 49b) and a quickfire half century by Gagan Khoda (50 n o, 3x6, 5x4, 31b) enabled Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) defeat Indian Navy by nine wickets and sail into the final of the Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament at the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce ground, Pithampura.

Mithun Manhas was adjudged the Pepsi man of the match.

The award was presented to him by chief guest Pradeep Bhola. Scores: Navy: 154 for 9 in 40 overs (Yashpal Singh 42, Sanjeev Mishra 31 n o, Mithun Manhas 3 for 33, Amit Mishra 2 for 28). ONGC: 155 for 1 in 16.1 overs (Mithun Manhas 64 n o, Gagan Khoda 50 n o, Gautam Gambhir 35).
