BODY FOUND FROM SAROVAR: Body of Sandeep Syal (25) son of Mr Ashok Syal, Khajuri Gate, here was recovered on Thursday from the Achleshwar Temple’s sarovar (6 km from here) on the Batala-Jalandhar road. Sandeep Syal married six months ago. The body was brought by the police to civil hospital here for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered.

HOWLER: The BA Part-I students of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, who appeared for psychology Paper A (Group B) were shocked to see that the Section-B of the question paper had just six questions instead of seven. This limited the choice of the questions to be attempted by the students who had to attempt four questions from this section. Interestingly enough, the Punjabi and Hindi versions of the paper had seven questions. This added to the confusion among the students.

WORKSHOP ON BAKERY: A 10-day workshop-cum-training on product development in bakery technology concluded at the Sant Harchand Singh Longowal Central Institute of Engineering and Technology at Longowal on Thursday. The workshop was organised by the Longowal Institute and the Netherlands Management Cooperation Programme, Netherlands. Mr J.M.J. Prinssen, and Mr P. Kruizinga, experts from the Netherlands, imparted training. More than 300 students and 30 faculty members from various institutes, universities and industry participated.
