Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little.

Departures: These were markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.3°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 16: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in Haryana and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 16: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Strong surface winds likely during day time. Maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
