take holy dip at Anandpur Sahib

Thousands took a dip in the holy
sarovar of Takht Shri Keshgarh Sahib at Anandpur Sahib today on the
occasion of Baisakhi. People from all parts of the state came in
trolleys, trucks motor cycles and buses to take part in the Baisakhi
celebrations here.

Sultana Begum as she offered Ardas at Akal Takht this evening as her
act of repentance for the atrocities committed on Sikh Gurus by tyrant
Mugal Emperors.
A resident of Howrah in West Bengal and the great granddaughter-in-law of Bahadur Shah Zafar, Sultana Begum, seeks forgiveness at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Tuesday for the atrocities committed by the forefathers of her husband on Sikh Gurus and Hindus. continues on reauction of liquor vends

reauction of liquor vends in Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Nawanshahr
districts continues to prevail due to different interpretations of a
Supreme Court order, the Punjab Government has allowed the existing
licencees to continue for another 20 days or till any other decision.

started from the dhussi bandh near historic Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara,
about 3 km after the barbed wire fencing located on the Indo-Pak

The "sins" of her husband
seem to have come to visit Preneet Kaur, wife of state Chief Minister
Amarinder Singh. She is recontesting the Patiala parliamentary seat on
Congress ticket. Preneet, who won the seat last time due to a
fractured Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as well as her ‘social’ image,
is now facing dissidence from her own party men who have been
sidelined in her husband’s regime.
