Chandigarh, April 6
Despite being physically challenged, Vineet Khanna was never known for his weaknesses. The founder of the Youth Technical Training Society, a voluntary agency still engaged in the service of the destitute and slum children and women in and around Chandigarh, Vineet embodied the strength of mind and body, always guiding people abler than himself.
Destitute children from the city gathered at the Mauli Jagran centre of the YTTS on Tuesday to remember Vineet Khanna. Khanna, who suffered from multiple physical disabilities, died on April 11, 2001, after setting up a chain of NGOs under the YTTS to support poor women and children.
