Eye care with a difference
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, April 6
The visit to an optician will not be the same. Kodak Lens Vision Centre of Himalaya Optical promises to give you an altogether different experience while looking for the right frames for your glasses.

The Kolkata-based opticians are all set to open an eye-care boutique in the city on April 9 in Sector 9. They promise that with the opening of the store, the search for the Versace, Cartier, Mont Blanc, Hugo Boss and Calvein Klien shades and sunglasses would end here, as would the search for the perfect lens for your glasses. Shades, sunglasses, and spectacle frames will be available within a price range of Rs 800 to Rs 80,000.

Himalaya Opticals has tied up with Singnet Armolite, which also owns the brand name of Kodak and is pioneer in optical technology, especially in the manufacture of progressive lenses, say Directors of Himalaya Opticals, Sharad Binani and Shrawan Binani. Eyes are the most neglected part in health care, and a research has shown that 60 per cent of people do not know that they need eye care, they said.

The centre will have a computerised eye-testing facility and a slit lamp for detecting cataract. A free trial for lenses will also be available for customers.
