Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, markedly above normal in Punjab and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.1°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 14.4°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 19: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in East Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
