A man who kidnapped, raped and then murdered a four-year-old girl in 1999 has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a city court. The court, in its judgement, said this is no doubt a case in which a small child of four years, who knew nothing of the world, was raped and killed by strangulation.

Two witnesses shot dead by murder accused

Two persons, Krishan (30) and Nasresh (32), were shot dead and another Rajpal (38) sustained bullet injuries by an undertrial prisoner Anil in a case of murder at Salimsar Majra village about 15 km from here today. All three were witnesses in a case of murder.

Passenger robbed; driver, conductor held

North-East district police today arrested the driver and conductor of a private bus plied on route number 221 for conniving with four persons who robbed a passenger, Pawan, last evening. The victim was carrying Rs 10,000.

New Delhi: A two-day national consultation meeting on ‘Environment Education’ was organised by the NCERT, which concluded here yesterday.
