Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and East Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, West Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.9°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 17: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 17: Partly cloudy sky. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 9°C.
