Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.2°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 10, 2004: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 10, 2004: Mainly clear sky. Mist/fog till in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
