INAUGURATED: Mayor Sunil Datti inaugurated a recharging-well in the Chheharta locality of the city here on Saturday. Fourteen more wells were proposed to be installed in the city, he said. 2 PICKPOCKETS HELD: Mr S.K. Ahluwalia, Deputy Commissioner and Mr Shiv Kumar SSP, said at a joint press conference held here on Sunday said the two pick- pockets were arrested during the Jor Mela and four purses were also recovered from their possession. At a raid on a gambling stall four gamblers were arrested and an amount worth Rs 26,675 was confiscated from their possession. Four Nihang Singhs were rounded up for selling “bhang” an intoxicant.
