Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region. Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed a little. Departures: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.6°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departures; They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.4°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 19: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
