Rainfall:
Weather was dry over the region.
Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, below normal in Punjab and normal in rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.2°C recorded at Jaisalmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 14.6°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 4 : Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 4: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33°C and 19°C, respectively.
