Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.6°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 14.0°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 3: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 3: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35°C and 23°C respectively.
