Self-employment scheme for 1 lakh youths

Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board is starting a new scheme, ‘Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Yojana’ to extend self-employment to the youth. It has been approved by the Planning Commission, the Government of India and the Law and Finance Department of Government of Delhi.
Programmes to salute Bapu

The National Gandhi Museum has organised an exhibition on ‘Gandhi and his Contemporaries’ on the occasion. The exhibition will open tomorrow and continue till November 30.

Three criminals arrested,
revolvers seized
Ghaziabad, October 1
Kavi Nagar police here have arrested three criminals in an encounter and recovered three revolvers from them.
The criminals, the police said, had been trying to rob an accountant of a steel merchant in Nav Yug Market.
