The continuing discord between the parents on the marriage of their daughter has resulted in her death. According to 58-Sector Police, Deen Dayal Sharma along with his two brothers Subhash and Balli shot dead his own 20-year-old daughter Sapna, near the culvert of Khanjarpur village.

A woman was killed and 14 were injured in a clash between two groups at Nasirpur Bangar village about 20 km from here late last evening. A dispute over the land is stated to be the main cause of the clash.

Lid off massive evasion of trade tax
Ghaziabad: The mobile teams of Trade Tax department have detected tax evasion on goods worth Rs 30 lakh. This included ‘katha’ worth Rs 17 lakh. It was being transported without payment of tax. A penalty of Rs 5 lakh has been calculated on these goods.
