500 children down with malaria in Dadri
Dadri, Noida, September 13
Some 500 children are reported to be down with malaria with dozens of them being in a serious condition in Dadri.
About 12 villages in Dadri are in the grip of malaria and a team of doctors from the Malaria Research Institute, Delhi, is expected to visit the area today or tomorrow.

Sonepat: A young housewife Mrs Meena Devi was reported to have been kidnapped by a Maruti van-borne armed youths from Mehlana village about 5 km from here on Thursday. According to a report, an old enmity is stated to be the cause of the alleged kidnapping.

In compliance with the directions of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Tika Ram Education Society, Sonepat, has appointed the SDM Sonepat, Mr Sujan Singh Yadav, as the returning officer and tehsildar Satish Jhunthra as the assistant returning officer for holding the elections to the governing body of the society within three months.

The 100-bed civil hospital in this district headquarter has virtually turned into a referral hospital as it lacks most of the basic medical facilities. According to a report, the doctors on duty in the emergency ward feel “relieved” by getting rid of serious cases by referring the patients to either PGIMS at Rohtak or to Delhi for further treatment.
