Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in west Uttar Pradesh, at many places in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kalka 6, Rohtak 4, Delhi Ridge 2 and Dadupur 1, Himachal Pradesh: Sujanpur Tira 4, Kangra 3 and Baijnath, Nadaun and Rampur Bushar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 1, East Rajasthan: Atru 6, Baran and Chhabra 4 each, Shahbad and Talabshahi 3 each, Dholpur and Kishanganj 2 each and Bharatpur, Mangrol, Rajakhera, Rawatbhata, Sangod and Uchain 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Banda 7, Fatehgarh 4, Bani and Palliakalan 2 each and Chillaghat, Dalmau and Hanuman Setu 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 6: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.
