Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan, at many places in west Rajasthan, at a few places in Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Chandigarh 6, Ayanagar 2 and Kalka and Naraingarh 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Nadaun 10, Nahan and Pandoh 9 each, Shimla 8, Sundernagar and Una 7 each, Guler, Ghamroor and Hamirpur 6 each, Berthin and Sujanpurtira 5 each, Bangana, Barsar, Kahu, Kasol and Kangra 4 each, Bhuntar, Pachhad and Solan 3 each, Arki 2 and Kotkhai 1; Punjab: Nangal 7, Nawanshahr 5, Gharhshankar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Samrala 1 each; east Rajasthan: Makrana 12, Parbatsar 8, Nawa 6, Sambher 4, Chaksu 3, Bharatpur, Deedwana, Degana, Dholpur, Mozamabad, Phagi and Rajgarh 2 each and Ajmer, Amer, Devgarh, Garhi, Ghatol, Roopwas and Shahpura 1 each; west Rajasthan: Fatehgarh and Ratangarh 4 each, Pokhran and Shergarh 2 each and Barmer and Shardarshahr 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur 2 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa and Joshimath 4 each and Dehra Dun 3.
