PU plans weightage for attendance

Aimed at improving the classroom attendance in the affiliated colleges of Panjab University, the university proposes to fix five per cent marks in the aggregate for the regularity in classes.

Thieves target locked houses

During the past 24 hours ,the police has registered at least three cases of thefts from different parts of the city.
Jasbir Singh, a resident of house number 88, Avenue Road ,Patiala, reported that gold jewellery and cash were stolen from house number 16, Sector 5, Chandigarh, on the night of August 15.

‘Dastarbandi’ contest held
