Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Rewari 11, Dadri Toye 10, Jhajjar and Masani Barrage 7 each, Dhansa and Mohna 4 each, Rohtak and Sonepat 3 each and Ayanagar, Bhiwani, Delhi Ridge, New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung) and Naraingarh 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 3 and Baijnath, Kangra, Kasauli, Nahan, Rajgarh, Shimla and Solan 1 each, East Rajasthan: Malakhera and Pachan Dam 15 each, Sikar 10, Umedsagar 9, Mandawar and Pahari 8 each, Jaisamand, Kotkasim and Sawai Madhopur 7 each, Anta, Govindgarh, Hindaun, Kishangarh, Karauli and Nagar 6 each, Atru, Alwar, Baran, Chhipabroad, Jaggar and Silisad 5 each, Aligarh, Bansaur, Chabra, Indergarh, Kishangarhwas and Mangrol 4 each, Deeg, Hingota, Kathumar, Laxmangarh, Ramgarh, Sangod, Tonk and Tizara 3 each, Kaman, Neemrana and Tapukara 2 each and Bharatpur and Jaipur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Sultanpur 3, Elginbridge, Neemsar, Shardanagar and Varanasi A.P. 2 each and Basti, Chandradeepghat, Jaunpur, Mukhlispur, Mirzapur and Lucknow 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Etawah 4, Jhansi 2, Bareilly, Dabri, Mathura and Shahjina 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 1.
