Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Bhiwani 6, Chhachhrauli 3 and Rewari 1, Himachal Pradesh: Bharwain 6, Paonta 3 and Sangrah and Sujanpurtira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2 and Banihal and Batote 1 each, Punjab: Batala 1, east Rajasthan: Deeg and Kaman 6 each, Kotra and Sagwada 2 each and Gogunda and Patan Tank 1 each, west Rajasthan: Barmer and Sriganganagar 3 each, Jalore 2 and Jodhpur 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi A.P. 9, Dalmau and Mukhlispur 8 each, Chhatnag and Khadda 7 each, Balmikinagar, Hanumansetu and Turtipar 6 each, Bani, Mankapur, Raebareily and Regoli 5 each, Ayodhya, Birdghat, Gorakhpur, Lucknow A.P. and Palliakalan 4 each, Bansi, Ballia, Jaunpur and Kanpur 3 each, Allahabad, Basti, Bahraich, Balrampur, Ghazipur, Kakrahi and Shardanagar 2 each and Ankinghat, Chillghat, Chandradeepghat and Sultanpur 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 3, Dadri, Hindon and Narora 2 each and Bareilly, Hamirpur and Shahjina 1 each and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 1.
