Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were markedly above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 47.8°C recorded at Hindon (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 5: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 5: Heat wave conditions are prevailing.

Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Dust storm/thunderstorm accompanied by squall is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 44°C.
