Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 43.4°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 30, 2003: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm or thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 30, 2003: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Thundery development accompanied by squall is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 41°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of May 30, 2003: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km p.h. is likely at isolated places.
