New Delhi, May 28
India international Gautam Gambhir played an entertaining knock of 80, studded with nine fours and five sixes, to star in Hari Bhoomi’s 29-run victory against South Delhi Club in the Lala Hari Ram Aggarwal Memorial Day-Night Cricket Carnival at Karnail Singh

Batting first, Hari Bhoomi accumulated 224 for 9 wickets in 30 overs. Some check was applied on the Hari Bhoomi batsmen by South Delhi bowlers Amanjeet Singh (4 for 26) and Nischal Gaur (3 for 26), but the South Delhi batsmen failed to cash in on the advantage gained by the bowlers.

South Delhi crashed for 195 in 29.4 overs with left-arm spinner Vaibhav Dua claiming four wickets.

Nischal Gaur and Amanjeet Singh put on a gutsy batting display, scoring 79 and 43 runs, respectively, but South Delhi fell just short of the target as the other batsmen failed to rise to the occasion when victory was at a hailing distance.
