Heat wave conditions are prevailing in parts of west Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Haryana and Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: These were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 44.8 C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 13: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kahsmir and at isolated places in Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm or thunderstorm is likely in Haryana and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood until the morning of May 13: Mainly clear sky with dust haze with the possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied by squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 41C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of May 13: Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places.Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
