No four-fold hike in prospectus cost

Rohtak: The Maharshi Dayanand University has denied there has been a four-fold increase in the price of prospectus for the B.Ed (Regular) entrance test-2003.

The university Registrar, Dr A. K. Rajan, said in a statement issued here today that though the price of the prospectus last year was Rs 150 the candidates had to submit Rs 300 as entrance examination fee along with the application form. The candidates in the paid seats category had to pay Rs 400 as entrance examination fee.

Thus, the real cost of the B.Ed entrance test the previous year worked out to be Rs 550. The nondescript increase of Rs 50 this year had been offset by the reduced cost of prospectus for SC/BC category candidates, he said. OC
