Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.Weather was dry in rest of the region.

Temperatures: past 24 hours’ change: Maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.4°C recorded at Jhalawar and Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours’ change: Minimum temperatures changed little.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.4°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 29: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir,west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbour valid until the morning of March 29: Partly cloudy sky. Maxmimum and minimum temperatures will be around 34°C and 19°C, respectively.
