Bar Council elections
Our Correspondent

Sonepat, March 21
Following withdrawal of nominations by five candidates in the Sonepat Bar Council elections, the stage is set for a direct contest for the posts of president and vice-president and triangular fight for the post of secretary.

Interestingly, after the withdrawal of nominations by Rajiv Tyagi, Jitender Pawar and Jitender Dahiya, no one is left in the fray for the election of the post of co-secretary. However, after the withdrawal of nomination by Narender Bhardwaj, Rajiv Khuhar had been declared elected unopposed for the post of treasurer.

For the post of president, Prem Singh Atri will take on Anoop Singh Dahiya. Manjit Singh and Nafe Singh Antil will contest for the vice-president post and Yashpal Malik, Pawan Rawal and Virender Tyagi will try their luck for the post of secretary.

The elections are to be held on March 22 and the results will be declared on the same day.
