Telugu School celebrates sports day New Delhi, February 26 Headmistress of the Middle School Sarada Rao submitted a report on the activities of the Ecoclub. President of the Telugu School Society B P Rao inaugurated the Eco exhibition, which displayed various products prepared by the students from waste material, with great skill. Local MLA Ashok Singh was the chief guest of the function. Mr B P Rao, vice-president and chairman of the school managing committee NVL Nagaraju, secretary U Viswanadham, joint secretary Dr Gowrisankara Rao, treasurer Suryanarayana, Gh. Muralidhr, Sridhar, G V Ramana, Parent Teacher Association secretary Madhusudana Rao and headmistress of the primary and middle school Ratnakumari and Sarada Rao respectively, were also present. Mr Viswanadham, in his report, stressed the need to upgrade the school to higher secondary level, with the requisite facilities. |

Rekha, Kusum shine at Hindu Girls College meet Sonepat, February 26 The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Balwan Singh, distributed the prizes among the winners. Interestingly, three students, Rekha (BA IInd year), Savita (BA IIIrd year) and Pinki (BA Ist year) had bagged 11 point each in different events. The final decision for the ‘Best Athlete’ was made on the basis of the `Matka’ race, which was won by Rekha. Kusum won the 100 mt sprint race. |
