Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell markedly in western Uttar Pradesh, fell in Uttaranchal, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were largely below normal in western Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab, eastern Rajasthan and eastern Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.4°C recorded at Pilani in Rajasthan.

Forecast valid until January 18: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and western Uttar Pradesh during the next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until January 18: Mainly clear sky. Fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until January 18: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
