Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed a little.

Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, below normal in Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.0°C recorded at Phalodi (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 8: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 8: Mainly clear sky. Fog/mist in the morning. Likely to become partly cloudy towards tomorrow afternoon. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
