Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in west Rajasthan, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.1°C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 28: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 28: Mainly clear sky. Fog till forenoon. Likely to become partly cloudy towards afternoon. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
