Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitations in cms are — Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Jammu 1 each and Punjab: Amritsar 1.

Snowfall report (cms): Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 6 and Solan nullah 1.

Temperatures: past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, fell in west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.2C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 27: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 27: Mainly clear sky. Fog/mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
