Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 03.0°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 23: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 23: Mainly clear sky. Fog/mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 10°C.
