Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and changed a little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.6°C recorded at Adampur and Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 19: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 19: Partly cloudy day. Mainly clear night. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 9°C.
