Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.7°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 16: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 16: Mainly clear sky. Fog/mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
