Zardari released for 10 days
Islamabad, December 5
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s husband, who is serving a seven-year prison term on corruption charges, was released today. Asif Ali Zardari was given 10 days of freedom to observe Id-ul-Fitr and attend special prayers for his mother, who died on November 12, said Mr Iftikhar Ahmad, an Interior Ministry spokesman. AP

Zealots freed
Islamabad, December 5
The new provincial government in Baluchistan has released many Pakistani Islamic zealots who had been arrested on the charges of involvement in bomb blasts and conducting agitations against the USA. They belong to banned militant organisations like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Toiba. UNI
