Maran's condition better
Chennai, November 30
The condition of Union Minister Murasoli Maran, who is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Houston in the USA, was “better”, according to his son Kalanidhi Maran. Kalanidhi and his wife returned here from the USA on Friday night after calling on the ailing DMK leader. PTI

Petrol prices cut
New Delhi, November 30
Petrol and diesel prices have been reduced from 59 to 66 paisa and from 51 to 72 paisa, respectively, with effect from midnight tonight. According to an official press note, the price of petrol, for the fortnight beginning December 1, will be Rs 28.91 in New Delhi, Rs 30.42 in Kolkata, Rs 33.63 in Mumbai and Rs 31.45 in Chennai. The prices in these four metros have fallen by 66, 59, 60 and 60 paisa, respectively. Similarly, diesel prices in these four metros will be Rs 18.06, Rs 19.43, Rs 23.03 and Rs 19.83, respectively.
