Shivalik School, Chandigarh edged past Government Senior Secondary
School, Pandara Road 3-1 in the 31st Nehru Junior Boys Hockey
Tournament at the Shivaji Stadium on Friday. Balbir Singh, Ravinder Singh and Kushwant Singh scored the goals for Shivalik while Rajender Yadav reduced the margin for the Delhi school. St Soldier Diving School, Jalandhar downed CRZ Senior Secondary School, Sonepat 4-0. A fine hattrick by Varinder Kumar, who scored the first three goals, was the highlight of the match. Harshpreet Singh struck the fourth goal. Boys Sports Company, BRC, Danapur crushed NCC, Ropar (Punjab) 5-1. Vikramjit Singh scored the first goal in the fourth minute when he scored a field goal for the Ropar school. Inter-College, Jhansi 4-3. P M Kushalappa (2), Cheeyanna A B and
Nilesh K A were Bangalore’s marksmen. Vinod Yadav and Asif Khan

Reserve Police Force “B” team beat Shivaji College 25-12, 25-14 in
the opening match of the third DDA Invitational Volleyball Tournament
at the Hari Nagar Sports Complex. In other matches, Ruchika Club
beat Ramesh Nagar Coaching Centre 25-11, 25-10, Dhaka Club beat
Jupiter Club 24-26,25-11, 18-16 and Raj Rifles Regiment Centre beat
Delhi Administration 25-22,25-16.
