Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures

Changed little. Departure: They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 40.4°C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, fell in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: It was above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

Forecast valid until the morning of October 3: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
