Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 1 and east Uttar Pradesh: Khadda and Raibareli 11 each, Jaunpur 7, Ayodhya, Birdghat and Regoli 5 each, Lucknow AP and Varanasi AP 4 each, Bani, Chhatnag, Gorakhpur and Sultanpur 3 each, Basti and Kakrahi 2 each and Balrampur and Mirzapur 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 26, 2002: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab.
