Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Dadupur 3 and Chandigarh, Chhachhrauli, Jagadhari and Naraingarh 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Berthin, Kahu, Sunnibhajji and Shimla 2 each and Guler, Kangra, Kasol, Kasauli, Paonta, Sujanpurtira and Sundernagar 1 each, East Rajasthan: Dausa 7, east Uttar Pradesh: Banda and Turtipar 5 each, Sultanpur 4, Ghazipur, Lucknow AP, Palliakalan and Shardanagar 3 each, Ayodhya, Bhatpurwaghat, Chhatnag, Fatehgarh, Katerniaghat and Neemsar 2 each and Ballia and Elginbridge 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Auraiya 4, Sarsawa 2 and Bareilly and Dabri 1 each and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 11: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
