RAINFALL: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in centimetre are: Haryana: Jagdhari and Panipat 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta Sahib 1, east Rajasthan: Arnod and Khali 2 each and Bhadesar, Badisadri and Jakhamdam 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur 15, Ankinghat and Neemsar 9 each, Chillaghat and Lucknow A.P. 8 each, Fahehgarh 6, Bani, Bhatpurwaghat and Raebareli 5 each, Banda and Palliakalan 3 each, Allahabad and Mirzapur 2 each and Dalmau, Jaunpur, Katerniaghat and Shardanagar 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Dabri 23, Bareilly 6, Auraiya, Mohana and Etawah 3 each, Hindon and Narora 2 each and Kalpi and Sarsawa 1 each and Uttaranchal: Marora 11, Hardwar 10, Banbasa, Mukteshwar, Pantnagar, Tehri and Uttarkashi 8 each, Dehradun 7, Rishikesh 6, Rudraprayag 3 and Joshimath 1.
