Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in Punjab. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Chandigarh 5, Haryana: Hodal and Hathin 2 each, Himachal Pradesh: Kasol 4 and Rampurbushar 3, Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 3, Jammu and Quazigund 2 each and Banihal and Srinagar 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 15, Pantnagar 4, Uttarkashi 3 and Dehra Dun and Joshimath 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 7: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall wearning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.
